February
27, 2006 - Hi
Everyone! We are back. I am so sorry for neglecting our family's
website. I know that many of you depend on these updates - HA!!
- and I am so sorry that I have
left you hanging. Well, LOTS
has happened since our last update. Our family had an unexpected trip to
Gordo last week due to Josh's Great Aunt Bernice passing away. Despite the
occasion for the trip, we had a great time visiting with family and
friends. We also celebrated Caleb Davis' 1st Valentine's Day and we all
know that he sends the best Valentines.
Plus, we found out that our friends Jarrett and Leigh are planning to move up
here in 2 weeks. Leigh accepted the job offer and we are so excited to
have some old college friends moving close to us. We
cannot wait for you guys to get settled in. Thanks for all your
sweet notes and prayers these past few weeks. As you all know, I have been
extremely sick and I thought I was dealing with the virus that many of our
friends here in Huntsville have had. Well after about a week of not getting any
better, we finally figured out what was going on. For those of you who may
not know yet, we are expecting a new addition to our
family. Can you
believe it? Josh and I are very excited despite the fact that I have
been barely able to move these past 3 - 4 days due to nausea. YUCK!
I guess I just thought it would not be so bad with the 2nd one. Boy, was I
wrong! I am doing a little bit better this afternoon as I type
this but I am still very weak and having a hard time keeping food in my
tummy. So if we have not returned your phone calls or emails these past
few days, I hope you now understand what is going on with us. If you have
made it this far in our update, please sign our guestbook
and leave us a message. We love to see who has visited our family's
website. Have a great week and we will continue to keep you all posted
with how we are doing.
Website Updates: The Baby News link has been updated with news regarding the new baby and I have moved Caleb Davis' Baby Album to the Photo Album section of our website. I have also updated our Photo A Day section. I am so sorry but some days are going to be missing this month. Please forgive us but life has been just a little crazy around here and taking pictures as been the last thing on my mind.
February 8, 2006 - We are still here! I know most of you thought we had fallen in a hole since we have not been updating our website. Josh arrived back into town Friday while Caleb Davis and I have been dealing with a sinus cold since Friday. The baby is doing 100% better and I am almost there. The worst part was that I lost my voice for 3 days. So if you have called me this past week and I was not able to answer the phone, I am so sorry. We were able to spend time with our friends Jarrett and Leigh last night. Leigh was in town for a job interview and they were able to drop by for dinner and a quick visit before they headed home to Brookwood.
February 2, 2006 - It is Thursday. YEAH!! My favorite day of the week. My friend, Laura, was able to drop by this afternoon. She is starting her own jewelry business and she had a few accounting questions that she wanted to run by me. I am so thrilled that she is following her passion and taking a step of faith to do this new business venture. She will not only be making custom jewelry but she will also be teaching classes. How cool is that! She is planning an Open House soon so I will keep you all posted and let you know when her website is up and running. Caleb Davis and I also went to Pete and Laura's home this evening for dinner. We had a wonderful Baked Spaghetti Casserole and Salad for dinner followed by a very exciting game of Phase 10. (I was doing so great until the last few rounds!) Thanks Pete and Laura for a great night!
Happy
Groundhog Day! I saw on Martha Stewart this morning that Mr.
Groundhog did not see his shadow today so I guess that means 6 more weeks of
winter. I definitely believe he might be on to something because it was so
cold and rainy here today. Although, I really would not mind a few more weeks of
cold weather so I can wear some of my heavier sweaters and boots.
February 1, 2006 - It is hard to believe that February is already here. Caleb Davis and I had such a great day today. He is really enjoying playing with his toys now and it is so much fun to watch him sit on the floor and interact with them. He also said "Bye Bye" to Josh on the phone this evening. Can you believe it? Oh, and he has moved up to #3 diapers. He is growing up too fast!! Josh is also doing well down in Fort Rucker. I just talked to him and if all goes well he may be able to come home Saturday. YEAH!
Website Updates: The Baby Album has been updated. We hope you enjoy the new photos from today.
