November 15, 2006 - He slept!
Nathan
James did really well last night. He feel asleep around 8:00 pm and did
not squirm until around 2:00 am this morning. We were thrilled!
I guess there is just something about a rainy night that helps everyone to sleep
well. Well, today is "Catch Up" Day around here. The rest
of the week is full of activities and preparations for this weekend so we will
be doing laundry and other chores around the house today so that we can
"play" the rest of the week. I think it is a good day for all of
this because it is supposed to storm here all day. I hope everyone stays safe
during the storm! Josh has RAs
tonight at church and you all know that I hardly watch television but since Nate
has been born I have found a show that I watch so tonight is The
Biggest Loser night. Can you believe I am watching
"reality" television? HA!

2006 - The Holidays Are Near...
Wow! It is just so hard to believe that the holidays are so close. We are getting excited around our house as we near Thanksgiving. We will be celebrating this weekend with Jamie's family and then we will head down to Gordo later next week to visit with Josh's family. I am planning to make Martha Stewart's Turkey Tail Rolls this year. I saw her making them on her show last week and I thought it was just the perfect compliment for this year's Thanksgiving dinner. Of course, there is always the infamous Day After Thanksgiving Day Shopping Spree.

Ok, now on to the
important things. Sleep!! 
Does anyone have any advice on how to get a 7 week old baby to sleep through the
night? We would settle for 4 - 5 hours at a time. I just do not know
what is up with Nathan James these past few nights. Josh and I have gotten
no sleep at all. He is not even sleeping that well during the day.
It is kind of frustrating but I am sure he is just going through a growth
spurt.
Caleb Davis is currently taking a nap. He fell asleep watching his new Fraggle Rock DVD today. I just loved that show growing up. It is such a classic 80s show. We are headed to GROW (Outreach) Night at our church this evening and hopefully we will be home in time to catch a few hours of sleep before the all night baby marathon begins. It is really not that bad. Josh and I just feel like we are back in our college days.
