October 31, 2006 - Prayer Needed!!
Good
Morning! Josh and I have an urgent prayer request this
morning. Some very good friends of ours that we go to church with
found out yesterday that they lost their baby. They are headed to the
hospital this morning where she will be induced. Please lift up the Minor
family in your prayers today. Josh went to the hospital very early this
morning to be with the family and we are all praying for a quick and smooth
delivery for mom. This is extremely hard on them because she was so far
along in the pregnancy.
We also just found out that a neighbor and friend from the MomTime group might possibly have lymphoma. She is a young mom with a little girl a few months older than Caleb Davis. She went for a biopsy yesterday morning and will find out the test results in the next few days. So please keep the Crosby family in your prayers also.
One more thing... Caleb Davis is still having some bad diapers from his stomach bug this weekend. He seems to be feeling fine but he is not eating very well and his diapers indicate that his stomach is still upset. Baby Nate seems to be doing great. We are just doing our best to get the little booger to sleep through the night!
God is good and faithful! Thank you for lifting up these prayer requests to Him today.

October 19, 2006 - A Day of Favorites!
I woke up this morning so excited when I realized that not only was it Thursday - my favorite day of the week - but it is also the 19th - my favorite number. I have always loved Thursdays for so many reasons. In high school, it was the night before the big football game and that always brought so much excitement for me. Especially when it was homecoming week and our class would stay up late putting the final touches on our homecoming float and preparing for our annual rolling mission. In college, it meant the end of a long week jam packed full of classes and late nights. Accounting students never had Friday classes so I could always look forward to taking a bubble bath and watching the latest episode of Friends and ER that night while getting some much needed rest. Since moving to Madison, Thursdays have either been Mary Kay Success Nights with my girlfriends early on in our marriage or curling up with Josh on the couch to watch a favorite movie. I know this might all sound silly but it is the little things in life that tend to make me so happy. As for the number 19, well I have just always loved the number since I was a little girl.
We hope you are having a fabulous
October. Doesn't it feel great outside? We are loving this fall
weather. It is so hard to believe that Baby Nate is 3 weeks old
today. Thanks to everyone who has dropped by or called to check up
on us. I am continuing to recover well from the pregnancy/birth and we are having
just the best time adjusting to life with 2 little ones. I also just
want to say thank you to all my dear, sweet online friends. You guys have
just been the best these past few weeks. I appreciate you all checking up
on us and signing our guestbook. I agree 100% with my friend Amy
today - This online thing is just so much fun and the friendships I have made by
staying connected through the Internet have been such a blessing to this full time mom
who is home 98% of the day. Josh has his 1st Missions Council
Meeting at church this evening. He was recently appointed to this position
at church and he is looking forward to getting more involved in missions and
learning from those who have more experience.
