September 28, 2006 ~ 4:21
am - We are headed to the
hospital! Please remember our entire family
in your prayers today as we welcome this new baby into the world. We will
update you all with Baby
News just has soon as we are released from the hospital. In the
meantime, feel free to contact
us via cell phone or call the hospital at 256-265-1000. We would love
to hear from you.
One more thing... here is the link for the new baby photos at Huntsville Hospital. Hopefully, Baby Elmore will be posted here soon.
September
27, 2006 - Take it easy and I
will see you in the morning! That is what Dr. Callison said
this afternoon when we left her office. We received a good report from our
appointment today. I am now 4 centimeters dilated, 80% effaced, and the
baby is at 0 station. All systems are set to go!!
We are scheduled to be at the hospital early tomorrow morning and I am sure I
will not sleep much tonight. It kind of feels like our wedding is tomorrow
- so much excitement and so many thoughts running through my head. We will
do our best to keep our website updated with baby news. Stay Tuned...
Update on Josh: He is feeling much better today than yesterday. He is still coughing quite a bit and does not feel great but it seems like the medicine is beginning to help him and his fever is completely gone. Thank you for all your prayers. He is actually working from home this afternoon while his office gets a makeover so that has worked out rather nicely for us today.
September
26, 2006 - Happy Tuesday! I
hope you are all having a great day where you are. It sure is
a gorgeous day here in Madison. If you could, please say a prayer for Josh
today. He is fighting a terrible fever/sinus infection. He is
actually headed to the doctor right now hoping to get some antibiotics to knock
this stuff out before he passes his love bugs
to the rest of us. Other than that, we are having a pretty great
day. I am looking forward to some cropping/organizing around here this
afternoon once Caleb Davis goes down for a nap and if you know me at all you
know that is pretty much like being in heaven for me! I am hoping to also
update our website some more later on this afternoon so check back today or
tomorrow for some new "stuff". We go back to the doctor tomorrow
morning to check up on Baby Elmore and if nothing has happened naturally by
tomorrow then we are set to induce Thursday morning. It is kind of strange
to set a date for our baby's arrival but we are relying on God and trusting the advice from our doctor. We are still praying that I will
go into labor on my own but know that it will all happen in His timing.
Oh and did I mention that I am so swollen that I can hardly move? I am serious! It officially happened yesterday. I can no longer wear my shoes - not even my Crocs or my house shoes. How sad is that? So today, I am walking around the house in Josh's lounge pants and my pink fuzzy socks. Got the image in your head yet? HA!!

September 20,
2006 - Just a quick update this
afternoon. We just arrived back from the doctor a little bit ago and Dr.
Callison said that nothing much has changed except that I am now about 70%
effaced this week. I have an appointment to see her again next Wednesday
and if nothing has
progressed she wants to induce next Thursday morning. Please
continue to keep us in your prayers these
next few days and hopefully Baby Elmore will decide to join us soon. Stay
tuned to the website later this week. I am hoping to update a few things
later on. We hope you are all having a great Wednesday! Doesn't it
just feel great outside today? LOVE this
weather!!
September 19,
2006 - Hope you are having a great
week. Is it Tuesday already? We had this
for dinner tonight and it was yummy. We also went for a walk this evening
trying to encourage the baby to make his/her debut.
More updates tomorrow!!
September
16, 2006 - WAR EAGLE!!
Was that a good game this afternoon or what?
Josh said that if it was him about to
have this baby then that game would have put him into labor!! We both love
a great football game which is why we are up way too late this evening watching
the Florida vs. Tennessee game right now. I hope you have all had a great
weekend. Thanks to everyone who has called and checked in to see how we
are doing. We are still hanging in there. I am afraid Baby Elmore is
taking a lot longer to make his/her debut than we had originally anticipated.
I was antsy about this at 1st but I am completely calm and fine
now because I know that the longer the baby is in my tummy than the more
developed he/she will be. Plus, we have been able to get several
"last minute" projects done around here, which has been fun. I
just love home projects! I am
sorry that I have been slacking on my Photo
of the Day this past week. To be honest, the camera has been packed
away in our hospital bag and I forget about taking pictures until I go to bed
each evening. Sorry!! We hope you have all had a wonderful weekend and regardless of who your team
is I hope you had a great time watching the games with those you love.

September 14,
2006 - Still hanging in
there! That is how we feel around the Elmore
house today.
Jamie is still experiencing contractions this afternoon but nothing too
painful. Our doctor is on call this weekend and so is a good friend of
ours that works at the hospital so we are hoping that Baby Elmore will decide to
make his/her debut then. But to quote Josh and Dr. Callison - Please
not during the Auburn game!!
Good
News!! Caleb Davis has a new tooth. It popped through last night and
he sure got Josh good when he tried to peek inside and see it. So
funny! You just had to be there!!
September
13, 2006 - Making Progress...
That is what Dr. Callison said during our appointment this
afternoon. She
was very pleased with the way things are coming along. Right now, I am 3
centimeters dilated and about 50% effaced. This is so much more than I
ever was with Caleb Davis when my water broke last year. We fully expect
to be in the hospital by this weekend but you just never know what God has in
store for us. Please keep us in your prayers!!
September 12, 2006 - Happy Tuesday! We hope you are all having a great day. No baby... yet! The signs say the time is drawing near but Jamie is really trying to hold off until her dad gets back into town Thursday evening from a business trip to South Carolina. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. We go back to the doctor tomorrow afternoon and we will keep you all posted. Leave us a message in the guestbook today. We would love to hear from you!!
September 11, 2006 - Well, it should not be too long before our new bundle of joy makes his/her arrival. We went to Dr. Callison last week for a regular check-up and we will go again this Wednesday for another weekly exam to check on mom and baby. Everything is looking great. Jamie is measuring the same as with Caleb Davis - which can be a good sign or a bad sign because he was such a big baby! Last week, she was 1 ½ centimeters dilated and has been having contractions since last Thursday. We are looking for more progress this week when we go back to the doctor and we will continue to keep you all posted on her progress. Please keep us in your prayers as we get closer to the delivery of Baby Elmore. Thanks!
Website Updates: The Photo A Day page and our Family Photo Album have been updated. Due to the road construction near our home, we have also posted new directions for anyone that plans to visit us the baby arrives.
